坡地蕉園土壤管理方法與香蕉生産之關係

Studies on the Relation between Banana Production and Soil Management Methods used in Hill-Side Banana Orchard

摘要


本試驗在以不同土壤管理方法探測對於香蕉生育、産量、品質及防早,防寒等之效果,試驗處理分四項:(1)無處理對照區,(2)覆蓋稻草區,(3)深耕施堆肥區,(4)深耕施堆肥及覆蓋稻草區,四處理隨機排列重複四次計16小區,每小區植蕉16株共256株,試驗分在臺中縣峯、南投縣名間及鄉親寮三處坡地蕉園進行。各項管理,除處理不同外,其餘均取一致,試驗自民國53年開始至56年冬結束,共獲得三次收穫記錄,由試驗結果,礁切證明在臺灣中部坡地蕉園施行蓋草及深耕施堆肥等土壤管理,可以增進蕉株發育,提早抽穗,提早採收,增加産量,改善品質,冬季乾旱及寒冷期間,並可保持土壤水分,增高地溫。覆蓋且可抑制雜草生長,減少除草工資,利益至多。

Four soil management methods have been used to investigate their effects on the growth, fruit quality and plant draught and cold resistance of banana. They were (1) clean cultivation (2) Rice straw mulching (3) deep cultivation and add compost manure (4) Deep cultivation, add compost manure, and rice straw mulching, The experiment was in randamized arrangement with 4 replica, 16 plots in total, 16 plants were planted in one plot, with a total of 265 plants. Three experiments were took place simultaneously in Wufun, Taichung district, Ming-Chin and Shiang-Chin-Liau, Nautau district from 1964 through winter of 1967 with 3 harvests. It was proved that in the hill-side banana orchard of central Tainwan, the soil mangement methods such as rice straw mulching, deep cultivation, add compost manure could benifit banana production. The results were rapid growth of plants, early flowering, early harvesting, increased yield, improved fruit quality and much more soil moisture and higher soil temperature during dry-cold Winter months, Mulching also controlled weed growth therefore cut down weeding fee.
