摘要

絲瓜菱紋浮塵子Hishimonus concavus Knight係屬本省新紀錄種，至今僅菲律賓發現有此蟲。此蟲乃首次發現爲害絲瓜及傳播絲瓜簇葉病。菱紋浮塵子屬(Hishimonus)在本省已知者有其他兩種，爲H. phycitis (Distant)及H. aberrans Knight,此等均能以雄性生殖器予以鑒別。本蟲之插入器柄絲狀，可與其他兩種分別。

Hishimonus concavus knight is a new record species and regarded as a vector of loofah witches' broom in Taiwan. A key to the 3 species of Genus Hishimonus in Taiwan and its morphological descriptionof the adults are also given.
