種苗二號無子西瓜四倍體雌親V-46柱頭活力與結實率之研究

摘要

三倍體無子西瓜雌親V-46柱頭活力以開花當日上午授粉之雌花著果率最高，秋作達60%以上，開花前一日授粉者約25%，至開花後二日始行授粉，其花柱幾無接受花粉能力。每果種子數亦以開花當日授粉者為最高，春作每果平均達280粒，秋作約160粒。
值株第一朶雌花子房發育並未完全，胚珠數約200-350粒，第二朶雌花時增加至400-600粒，至第三朶雌花胚珠數可超過800粒，每果種子數亦以第三朶雌花授粉者爲最高。

TSS No. 2 Seedless watermelon seed parent V-46 had the highest percent fruit setting with newly open flower pollinated in the morning. The average fruit setting in fall crop is over 66%. Bud pollination of the flower one day before anthesis had only 25% in fruit setting. When pollination delayed to the flower of two days after anthesis, showed that the stigma receptivity is very low. The highest number of seeds per fruit is obtained is newly opened flower, the average seeds per fruit are 280 and 160 in spring crop and fall crop, respctively.
The ovary is not completely developed in the first female flower, the number of ovules is 200 to 350. The number of ovules increased to between 400-600 and more than 800 in the second and third female flower, respectively.
The third, flower had more valid seeds per fruit than the first and second flowers.
