WTO農業談判有關市場開放議題對台灣稻米產業衝擊之模擬評估
Simulation Effects of Market Access Issues on Rice Industry in Taiwan

This paper applied mathematical prograrmming to agricultural sector in Taiwan to evaluate import impacts of market access on rice industry in Taiwan. The market access is one of important issues in WTO Doha Round negotiation. No matter tariff reduction, TRQ expansion, or combination of tariff reduction and TRQ expansion, those proposals ill have different effects on domestic price, production, and fanners income. This paper tries to simulate all kinds of scenarios relating market access on rice industry for providing more information with adopting negotiation strategies.
