Effects of cold cathode fluorescent lamps on the in vitro growth characteristics of three orchid plantlets

冷陰極螢光燈管對於三種蘭花組培苗生長特性之影響

摘要


The effect of three light sources: (white fluorescent lamps, WFL and two types of cold cathode fluorescent lamps, CCFLs) on the characteristics of in vitro grown cultures of three orchid species (Phalaenopsis, Oncidium, Dendrobium nobile) was studied. The commercial criteria of plantlets were used to evaluate the effect of the light sources. The plantlets were taken from vessels at different culture periods and their growth characteristics were measured. Fresh weight, plantlet height, leaf area and chlorophyll index but not number of leaves and roots were affected by the light sources. The CCFL 2S was adequate for Phalaenopsis and CCFL 3S had the best performance for Dendrobium nobile. Both CCFL light sources were adequate for Oncidium.

此研究探討三型光源(白螢光燈管與兩型冷陰極螢光燈管)對於蝴蝶蘭、文心蘭、春石斛等三種蘭花組培苗生長特性之影響。以組培苗之市場特性包括鮮重、植株高度、葉面積與葉綠素指數做為評估標準。組培苗於不同時期分別取出量測其生長特性。試驗結果顯示光源對於組培苗鮮重、高度、葉面積、葉綠素指數等均有顯著影響。但是對於葉片數目與根數目並無顯著影響。2S冷陰極螢光對於蝴蝶蘭最適用。3S冷陰極螢光則是適用於春石斛。兩型冷陰極螢光都適用於文心蘭。
