評估舞春花商業品種相對DNA含量及植物性狀特徵相關性

Evaluated the Relationship between the Relative DNA Content and Plant Characteristics of Calibrachoa Cultivars

摘要


舞春花(Calibrachoa)為新興花卉之盆花作物之一,現今尚無文獻探討市售品種相對DNA含量(或倍體數)與植物性狀之相關性,本研究利用流式細胞儀進行快速檢測並配合植物性狀調查以建立其相關性。試驗共調查29個舞春花商業流通栽培品種,並調查花粉粒、保衛細胞大小等性狀特徵。試驗結果顯示,現今舞春花商業品種,相對DNA含量呈現多樣性分布(2.00-2.60 units),無多倍體品種。此外花粉調查結果顯示4個品種不具花粉;其他25個品種花粉直徑為23.33-33.36μm,其中4個品種具有較小花粉型態,直徑為16.56-21.64μm;而所有品種保衛細胞長寬範圍分別為24.75-36.90μm和19.98-32.00μm。經統計分析,舞春花相對DNA含量分別與花粉粒直徑及保衛細胞長度與寬度無相關性。

Calibrachoa is an important and novel potted flower. There is no report mentioned about the relationship between relative DNA content (ploidy level) and plant characteristics. The present research not only evaluated the DNA content by flow cytometry but also investigated plant traits as to establish the correlation. It totally investigated physiological characteristics such as pollen grains and guard cell size of 29 commercial Calibrachoa cultivars, and the relative DNA content of all cultivars was also evaluated. The results indicated that the DNA content of Calibrachoa cultivars was distributed from 2.00 to 2.60 units. About the characteristic of pollen grain, the result exhibited 4 cultivars with non-functional pollen, and 4 cultivars had pollen grains with two sizes, the diameter of regular pollen grain was 23.33-33.36 μm and smaller pollen grain was 16.56-21.64 μm. The length and width of guard cells was 24.75-36.90 μm and 19.98-32.00 μm, respectively. In conclusion, it suggested that no correlated relationship between the relative DNA content and pollen grain /guard cell size in Calibrachoa cultivars, individually.
