高雄市菩提扁粉蝨發生之初探
A preliminary study on the occurrence of Pealius spina in Kaohsiung city

The scores of infested index of Pealius spina (Singh) on lime tree (Ficus religiosa Singh) in Kaohisung city ranged from 0.85 to 2.7, averaging 1.5, and from 1.2 to 2.95, averaging 2.2, in December 1997 and August 1998, respectively. The lime trees were significantly more seriously infested by P. spina in summer than in winter. The difference of infestation degree was closely related to the size of lime tree and surrounding vegetation.
