Oscillations of a Relativistic Plasma in a Hydrodynamic Model

By using the electron fiuid model approximation to describe the oscillations of a relativistic plasma, it is shown that the dispersion relations for the transverse waves and longitudinal waves, respectively, are easily obtained. Each of these relations has a form very similar to its classical counterpart and is thus shown to reduce to it in the non-relativistic limit.
