Renormalization, Dilatation and Conformal Properties of Yang-Mills Fields

We show that the scale dimension p of the non-abelian gauge fields satisfies the condition p=d/2, with d=(space+time) dimensions, for the dilatation transformation as well as for the special conformal transformation. The dilatation current is explicitly constructed to demonstrate the trace anomaly of the energy-momentum tennsors for the effective Yang-Mills Lagrangian.
