The X-Ray Fluorescence Analysis for Bormide Compounds and Iodide Compounds

The relative intensities of the K x-rays of the elements in the bromide compounds and in the iodide compounds were measured by a Si (Li) x-ray detector. The atomic number of the elements in bromide compounds studied here are in the range of Z =24 to Z =56. and those in the iodide compounds are in the range of Z=26 to Z=56. A NEN x-ray exciter with a Dy target was used as the x-ray source for this work. A theoretical model that accounts for the influences of the secondary radiations to the intensity of the K x-ray under investigation, were developed to reproduce the experimental results. Some theoretical and experimental data at hand were used in the calculations. The reproducibility is found reliable for elements for which their atomic number differences, AZ= |Z1 - Z2|, are less than 10.
