Properties of the Bi2-xPbxSr2Ca&u3Oy (x = 0.0-0.60) superconductors quenched from 840°C into liquid nitrogen have been studied. From XRD patterns it can be seen that all samples have a tetragonal structure. The Tc values have maximum at x = 0.20 - 0.30 and can be slightly increased by quenching. The results of DTA show the weight-loss of the liquid nitrogen quenched samples is much higher than that of the air quenched samples.
