The pseudorapidity (rapidity) and transverse momentum distributions of negatively charged hadrons produced in high energy nucleus-nucleus collisions are studied in the thermalized cylinder picture. For a given interacting system of central nucleus-nucleus collisions, the values of parameters for different rapidity ranges of the experimental data are nearly the same. The calculated results are in agreement with the experimental data of central ^16O-Au, ^32S-S, and ^32S-Ag collisions at 200 GeV/N.
