The Surface Gravitational Redshift of the Neutron Star 4U 1820-30

The surface gravitational redshift of the neutron star 4U 1820-30 is investigated in the framework of relativistic mean field theory for the baryon octet. We see that for different hyperon coupling constants, the distribution of the particles in the neutron star is different, and therefore the mass of the neutron star calculated is distinct too. As the hyperon coupling constants being chosen as different values, the values of the surface gravitational redshift are more distinct and are more sensitive to the hyperon coupling constants. We find that the mass and the radius of the neutron star 4U 1820-30 can be obtained as xσ= 0.6, xω = 0.66, xp= 0.7 with the nucleon coupling constants being chosen as GL97. The ratio M/R and the surface gravitational redshift of the neutron star 4U 1820-30 calculated by us are M/R = 0.1418 and z =0.312, respectively.
