I devoted myself to the study of Laurnceae for many years. First, I did the research in the herbaria of New York Botanical Garden, Harvard University and Smithsonian Intitution in the United States in 1973. As a result a paper ”Notes on the Lauraceae of Asia” was published in National Science Council Monthly vol. 3, no. 11, 1975. Afterwards, I visited the Department of Botany of Tokyo University in Japan three times from 1979 to 1989 and South China Institute of Botany in Kwangchow twice in 1989 and 1990. Recently in April of last year I visited South China Institute of Botany again. As a result some new entities have been discovered. The present paper attempts to enumerate all the species I have worked on. It may lead us to understand the confusion over some genera and species of Lauraceae of Taiwan. It further indicates the close phytogeographical relationship between South China and Taiwan.
