叢枝菌根菌Entrophospora kentinensis對楝樹苗木生長之效應

Effects of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi Entrophospora Kentinensis on Growth of Melia Azedarach Seedlings

摘要


本研究旨在探討叢枝菌根菌接種對楝樹苗木生長之效應。本研究以分離自嘉義縣東石農場台糖平地景觀造林楝樹造林地根圈土壤之優勢叢枝菌根菌Entrophospora kentinensis,此菌種經繁殖後接種至楝樹苗木,8個月後觀察其對苗木苗高生長、根頸直徑生長、生物量、葉面積、葉片數、葉綠素濃度及葉片滲透潛勢之影響。結果顯示,叢枝菌根菌E. kentinensis可與楝樹苗木根部形成良好之叢枝菌根。接種組之苗木平均苗高淨生長量48.88±2.75 cm、根頸直徑淨生長量4.29±0.82 mm、總乾重6.08±0.73 g、S/R率1.35±0.30、總葉面積347.72±48.73平方公分、葉片數33.67±8.62片、葉綠素濃度4.51±0.29 mg/g、葉片滲透潛勢-0.85±0.18 MPa,均較未接種組之平均苗高淨生長量11.13±3.25 cm、根頸直徑淨生長量1.98±0.64 mm、總乾重1.22±0.44 g、S/R率0.56±0.03、總葉面積17.80±1.81平方公分、葉片數6.33±2.08片、葉綠素濃度3.90±0.19 mg/g、葉片滲透潛勢-1.11±0.01 MPa為高。楝樹苗木對叢枝菌根菌E. kentinensis之菌根依賴度為398%,證實叢枝菌根菌E. kentinensis可有效促進楝樹苗木之生長。

The objective of this study was to examine the effects of mycorrhizal fungi on growth of Melia azedarach (Chinaberry) seedlings. Chinaberry seedlings were inoculated with the dominant arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus (AMF), E. kentinensis isolated from the rhizosphere soil of Chinaberry stand in coastal forest in southwestern Taiwan. Eight months later, the effects of this AMF fungus on height growth, root collar diameter, total dry weight, leaf area and leaf number of seedlings were measured and analyzed. Results showed that E. kentinensis could form arbuscular mycorrhiza with roots of Chinaberry seedlings. The inoculated seedlings with averaged net height growth (48.88±2.75 cm), net root collar diameter growth (4.29±0.82 mm), total dry weight (6.08±0.73 g), S/R ratio (1.35±0.30), leaf area (347.72±48.73 cm^2), leaf number (33.67±8.62 blades per seedling), chlorophyll concentrations (4.51±0.29 mg/g), and leaf osmotic potential (-0.85±0.18 MPa). were significantly higher than the non-inoculated ones with averaged net height growth (11.13±3.25 cm), net root collar diameter growth (1.98±0.64 mm), total dry weight (1.22±0.44 g), S/R ratio (0.56±0.03), leaf area (17.80±1.81 cm^2), leaf number (6.33±2.08 blades per seedling), chlorophyll concentrations (3.90±0.19 mg/g), and leaf osmotic potential (-1.11±0.01 MPa). Mycorrhizal dependency of Chinaberry seedlings on E. kentinensis was 398%. This study demonstrated that E. kentinensis played an important role in stimulating the growth of Chinaberry.
