福山試驗林鳥類群聚之棲地及季節分布

Spatial and Seasonal Variations of the Bird Assemblages in Fushan Experimental Forest

摘要


本研究之主要目的在探討福山試驗林鳥類群聚組成在棲地及季節上的變化,並提出適當的鳥類監測方式。2006年3月至2008年2月在福山試驗林共記錄到54種鳥類,其中保育類有17種。哈盆溪下游沿岸的河谷芒草型棲地有較多數量、種類的鳥類及較高的多樣性;而河谷森林型或山坡森林型棲地的鳥類群聚僅以森林鳥類為主。因此哈盆溪下游沿岸應是監測鳥類多樣性的較佳地區,而針對森林鳥類的監測,則以河谷以外的山坡森林為優。哈盆溪下游沿岸的鳥類群聚以春季至秋季較為穩定,建議福山試驗林鳥類長期監測工作應考慮於春季至秋季進行較妥。此外本研究發現冬季鳥類群聚組成的變動可能受到氣溫及颱風的影響,氣候變化對鳥類群聚的影響需要更多研究。

This study was intended to investigate the spatial and seasonal changes of bird assemblage structure in Fushan experimental forest. The most appropriate and suitable monitoring approaches for birds were also discussed. From March 2006 to February 2008, fifty-four bird species were recorded and more than one third of them were designated as protected species by the Wildlife Conservation Act. Along the river banks of Hahpen Creek, silvergrass Miscanthus floridulus dominated the downstream banks. In this particular kind of habitat, more bird abundance, species, and higher species diversity were found, compared to those found in the forests along the valley streams or on the hills. Furthermore, in the forests, the bird assemblages were dominated by common forest birds. A proper site for monitoring bird diversity in Fushan experimental forest would be the M. floridulus-dominated areas downstream of Hahpen Creek. However, if forest birds were the focused subjects, then the forests on the hills would be recommended as monitoring sites. Seasonal variations in the bird assemblages were demonstrated in the habitats dominated by M. floridulus. The most suitable time to monitor the birds in Fushan experimental forest would be from spring to autumn. This study also found that the variations in the winter bird assemblages might be influenced by factors such as air temperature and typhoons; therefore, more researches are needed to study the impacts of climatic changes on bird assemblages.
