農學類科大一新生學系投入、生涯態度與科系認同感之初探研究

Exploring Agriculture Freshmen's Engagement, Career Attitude and Identification of College Majors

摘要


本研究旨在探討農學類科大學新生的科系選擇、學系投入、生涯態度及科系認同感等情形。研究對象為某國立大學農學類科大一新生,以立意取樣方式發放問卷,回收有效問卷共135份,回收率為85%。研究工具係參考相關文獻編製,涵蓋個人背景、學系投入、生涯態度與科系認同感四個分量表,各量表信度Cronbach α 值皆在.8以上,顯示本研究問卷內部一致性良好。研究結果除呈現受試者背景資料與各分量表得分外,另針對不同背景的新生進行比較檢定,結果發現在性別方面,男、女生的學系投入情形、生涯態度與認同感程度並無顯著差異;但若以科系分類之學群進行比較則有顯著差異,事後比較檢驗發現傳統農業作物學群科系大一新生的認同感程度顯著高於農業工程學群科系的新生。而在生涯態度方面,不同管道入學新生其生涯態度有顯著差異,事後比較檢驗發現推甄及申請入學者其生涯態度較僑生管道入學者更為正向。至於有轉系意願的新生,其生涯態度、認同感程度也明顯低於無轉系意願的新生;但有意輔系、雙修的新生其學系投入、生涯態度與認同感程度則與無意願者無顯著差異。此外,科系認同感與學系投入、生涯態度兩變項有顯著相關,且科系認同感對學系投入、生涯態度兩變項皆有正向顯著影響。本研究結果可提供後續研究及農學類科系規劃發展之參考。

The purpose of this study was to examine college major choice, engagement, career attitude and department identification for agriculture major freshmen. This study adopted the purposeful sampling technique to collect opinions. One hundred and thirty-five questionnaires were obtained, which was a valid response rate of 85% . Instruments used in this study included personal background, institutional engagement, career attitude and department identification scales. The Cronbach α of all scales were higher than 0.8, indicating good internal reliability. The survey results showed the background of the freshmen as well as their responses to all scales and further presented the compared responses of different groups of students. In terms of gender, there were no significant differences between male and female students'engagement, career attitude and identification. However, differences were found among students of different study groups when applying the post hoc analysis technique. Students majoring in the traditional crop study group had a higher identification level than those majoring in the engineering study group. Students enrolled by different admission pathways had significant differences in career attitudes. Based on the results of post hoc analysis, in terms of career attitude, it was found students enrolled via recommendation and application were more positive than students enrolled by overseas admission. Besides, students who wanted to transfer to other departments had higher department identification and career attitude levels than those who did not intend to transfer majors. However, there were no significant differences between students who wanted to apply for minor or double majors in other department and those who did not. Department identification was significantly correlated with engagement and career attitude. Moreover, department identification has significantly positive effects on engagement and career attitude. Finally, based on the above results, the investigation proposed suggestions for future research as well as agricultural education practices.
