民主人的群體歸屬與認同

A Democratic Person's Group Belonging and Identity

摘要

甚麼是具有多重群體身分認同的所有公民，應該共同爭取、維護與尊重的群體利益與地位呢？這項普遍利益將使具有任何群體身分的人享有形式與實質的平等自由。本文認為，基於民主，群體歸屬與認同的個人選擇與社會實踐應該支持平等的群體權利，不論個人是哪類群體歸屬與認同，都有基本責任促進每個人與不同群體享有民主地位，因為此公民（或民主人）身分責任之踐行，正是人人受益於社會生活之條件。是以，論文首先是一項依據公民身分的行動正當性說明，其次闡述如何使得民主價值導引群體歸屬認同之生成與接納成為可能。

Is there some common interest that all multi-identified citizens are supposed to share with each other and be responsible for its prevalence? That interest is universal and it will make all who belong to any social group enjoying equal freedom, formally and substantively. I believe that personal choices and social practices for group belonging and identity in a democracy should support equal group right, for the achievement for such common interest depends on the realization of such a duty. For demonstration, I first offer justification for the duty of personal actions grounding on the status of citizen (or democratic person), and then clarify a way how democratic value intervenes in urging transformation in group belonging and identity.
