不同營養系愛玉子之生長表現―太和試區五年生結果

Growth Performance of Ficus awkeotsang Clones-A Report of 5-Year Result in TAI-HO Test Plantation

摘要


本研究旨在選拔瘦果產量高且果膠酯酶活性強之優良營養系,供推廣栽培,從而提高林地生產力。乃於本島五個地點採集20棵愛玉子雌株揷穗,扦揷繁殖其營養系苗,在1987年5月栽植於嘉義縣梅山鄉海拔1,100公尺的太和村試驗地,栽植5年結果如下: 一、栽植1年苗高65公分,20個營養系中已有2個營養系由細小幼年枝葉先開始轉型為粗大成年枝葉。滿2年生長爬升至5公尺高的水泥柱頂端,並皆轉型為成年枝葉。 二、植後3年,栽培之20個營養系中有17個營養系生隱頭花序,開花株數佔栽植株數的40%。生長4年,生隱頭花序之營養系有19個,開雌花株數佔68%,授粉結果株數佔40%。第5年即1992年5,6月間開花株有95%,同年9月20日雌隱花果綠色成熟可採收,結果株數佔85%,開花株數異於結果株數及結果數量不多之原因,可能係試區附近雄株少,雄株隱花果花粉成熟小蜂飛出時機與雌花盛開不甚一致之故。 三、比較15個營養系的隱花果鮮重、花托長、花托寬、花托鮮重、瘦果鮮重、瘦果乾重及果膠酯酶活性等各項形態特性均有極顯著差異。單株瘦果產量最高及果膠酯酶活性最強之3個營養系為水山20、福山12及紅石8號,其每株產瘦果乾重依序為1201g、614g、1102g,每克瘦果果膠酯酶活性依序為56.2單位、68.9單位、35.3單位。

Twenty clones of female jelly fig originally collected from 5 collection sites were propagated vegetatively and planted for the selection of the achene production and the activity of pectin methylesterase. This project was conducted in Mei-Shan village, Chiayi county at an elevation of 1,100 m in May 1987. The results can be summerized as follows. 1. The average height growth for the first year was 65 cm. Two clones only transformed the juvenile stage into mature stage. After 2-year growth, all the clones climbid up to the top of the cement pole of 5 m tall, and converted to mature stage. 2. After 3-year growth, 17 out of the 20 clones initiated syconium and the number of tree in blossom was about 40% of the total planted trees. At 4-year growth, 19 of the 20 clones initiated the inflorescence. The ratio of individual producing female flower to the total planted trees was 68%. Fruit producing individuals was about 40% of the total plant. At 5-year growth, the ratio of individual producing female flower to the planted tree was 95%, and fruit producing individual was 85%. The reason for the less number of fruit bearing individual was probably due to not enough male plant in the nearby area, and/or the timing of flowering of female syconium was not completely compatible with the male flowers. 3. In terms of fresh weight, length and width of fruit, fresh and dry weight of achene, PME activity, clones showed significant differences. Shui-shan 20 (水山20), Fu-sfan 12 (福山12), and Hung-shih 8 (紅石8) are among the clones have the best achene production/plant and PME activity/gram achene. In responding to these three clones, the achene production /plant was 1201, 614 and 1102 gram respectively, and the PME activity/gram achene was 56.2, 68.9 and 35.3 units respectively.
