摘要

資策會資訊科學展示中心因應時代需求，於民國八十三年十二月在科展中心一樓特展區成立首座光碟圖書館，館內佈置兼具溫馨、舒適與知性氣氛，提供民眾一個休閒學習的場所。光碟圖書館內放置一部多媒體查詢機，七部多媒體電腦及一部CD-I電腦。多媒體查詢機可使民眾從觸摸式螢幕上快速瀏覽…查詢、選擇自己有興趣的光碟片，其他七部電腦則是滿足不同硬體環境需求，供來賓或會員使用，另外，在地下一樓附設視聽中心，提供卅部多媒體電腦供團體來賓使用。光碟圖書館初步採在館內使用、展示，不採外借方式，未來則將發展網路連線系統及光碟櫃硬體設施，以便利更多人共同使用。目前採試玩服務，希望能昅引民眾使用光碟，進而產生興趣，加入會員行列而長期使用光碟圖書館，其館藏內容大致區分教學、益智遊戲、休閒社教、百科全書、資料庫及年鑑等六大類。其中以CAI教學類最為豐富。歡迎大家申請試用。

The Information Science and Technology Exhibition Center (ISTEC) is a division of Institute for Information Industry (III), which goes with the tide of the times to set up the CD-Rom Library in 1994. The library is located on the first floor, known as the special exhibition area, of ISTEC building.There are one multi-media computer for information consulting, seven multi-media computers and one CD-I computer. A room in the basement provides 30 multi-media computers for group use. The catagories used in this library are CAI, learning with games, recreation, encyclopedia, database, reference and year books. The public are welcome to try the facilities for free) while the long-term membership is needed if one wants further use in the future.
