While sharing reading with their children, parents playas a trigger for developing the children's interests in reading, and a model for reading. Through the promotion of story telling and reading among children and parents, the library becomes a knowledge basement, which can support the parents with abundant reading resource, and experience of parent-child interaction.Focusing on the features of story telling and reading programs in the Children Library, this article provide experience of program designing on different reading materials. It further describes how to use theme resources such as picture book, storyteller, and the seasonal folk festival to enrich the diversity of library activity, and to create the energy for pre-reading cultivation.
