摘要

RFID科技目前逐漸廣泛使用於圖書定位、圖書協尋和協助進行圖書取閱率的計算等方面。和以往圖書館透過圖書編目資料庫編製書籍條碼的方式相較之下，RFID標籤不僅能取代傳統的編碼功能，更可附加書架位置、最後借閱日、作者與書名等各種額外資訊。然而，正因為便利性的提升和追蹤功能的強化，RFID系統也可能引發侵害讀者隱私的疑慮。本文以圖書館運用RFID系統時可能產生的隱私保護議題為核心，進行分析。文中說明RFID系統的特性及其與圖書館管理的關係，介紹RFID系統目前在圖書館中的應用狀況，接著，說明這些RFID系統的用途，可能引發哪些隱私權保護的關切，最後，則嘗試提出一些規範層面的建議，做為觀察心得與結論。

RFID technology is nowadays gradually widely applied to books location detection and searching, and to gather statistics of book accessing and reading rate. In comparison of barcodes, RFID tags not only replace the function of barcodes, but also hold information relating to book location, last borrow date, author, and title etc. Although the RFID provides the convenience and enhances the function of tracking, doubts that it may infringe on readers' privacy also arise. This article is aimed on the analysis of privacy protection issues arise from the application of RFID in libraries. First, the characteristic of RFID, the relationship between RFID and library management, and the current status of RFID in libraries will be introduced. Then, the function of RFID and the privacy protection concerns will be discussed. Finally, the suggestions about regulation aspect will be provided as conclusion.
