Summary of World Library and Information Congress: 84th IFLA General Conference and Assembly

摘要

2018年國際圖書館協會聯合會（IFLA）年會於8月24至31日吉隆坡，會議主題為「改造圖書館，改造社會」（Transform Libraries, Transform Societies）聚焦在如何透過改造圖書館發揮社會改造的影響力。本文記錄IFLA年會開幕、海報展及研討會過程，以及參訪圖書館概要及心得，並提出圖書館面對轉型時普遍展現出的四種特性：（1）滿足需要的包容性設計；（2）創造想要的遊戲性體驗；（3）返歸自然的永續性思維；（4）回應文化的在地性價值。期待裨益於圖書館未來經營規劃時的參考。

In 2018, World Library and Information Congress: 84th IFLA General Conference and Assembly was held in Kuala Lumpur from August 24 to 31. The theme of the conference was ＂Transform Libraries, Transform Societies＂, focusing on how to transform the library to make social transformation. This paper records the opening of the IFLA Annual Meeting, the poster exhibition and the seminar process, as well as the summary and experience of the library, and proposes four characteristics that the library generally exhibits in the face of transformation: 1) inclusive design to meet the needs; 2) Create the desired gameplay experience; 3) Resilience thinking that returns to nature; 4) Respond to the local value of culture.
