Effect of Intraglobin in Compromised Hosts Complicated with Herpes Zoster

摘要

經將31例帶狀疱疹患者分為三且，研究Intraglobin之療效，A及B組未使用Intraglobin，作為對照比較。A組12人平均年齡54±17.3歲，無其他疾病；B組10人平均年齡61±8.3歲，併有其他惡性或非惡性疾病，C組9人平均年齡39±20歲，接受Intraglobin治療，大多先患有惡性病或長期使用免疫抑制劑之患者。結果發現B組較A組病程長6.6天（24.6對18天），而疱疹後神經痛發生率相仿（88.9%對87.5%），經使用Intraglobin之C組則病程與A組同（17及18天），但較B組為短7.6天（17對24.6天），神經痛發生率則降至33.3%。靜注Intraglobin劑量為7.5~20gm，1天或2天內連續注射，注射中、注射後無副作用，注射後血清IgG呈有意義升高，病患追踪觀察均在一年以上。結論是Intraglobin值得作為帶狀疱疹併發者之輔助治療用。

Thirty-one adult cases of herpes zoster were classified into 3 groups A, B and C, whereas groups A and B were regarded as the controls since they had not received Intraglobin therapy throughout their whole clinical courses. Twelve cases of group A, with a mean age of 54±17.7, were solely suffered from herpes zoster without any detectable underlying diseases. Ten patients of group B, mean age of 61±8.3, had various kinds of underlying disorders, some with history of using antineoplastic drugs. The patients of group C, with a mean age of 30±20, were suffered from hematological diseases, including 4 lymphoma, 2 leukemia and 3 others. The last group had history of using immunosuppressive medications before receiving 7.5-20.0 gm Intraglobin intravenously for 1-2 days for the trail.The results showed that the clinical courses in group B was 6.6 days longer than group A (24.6 vs 18 days), though the incidence of post-zoster neuralgia was about the same (88.9% vs 87.5%). The courses in group C were nearly the same a group A (17 days vs 18 days), but shorter than group B (17 days vs 24.6 days) and the incidence of neuralgia was declined to 33.3%. No notable side effect was demonstrated during the trials and significant elevation of IgG was noted, with mean pre- and post-IgG levels of 983±204.8 mg% and 1,397±316.3mg% respectively. Our conclusion is that Intraglobin is worthy to be used as an adjuvant for the patients complicated with herpes zoster.
