Leiomyosarcoma of the Prostate in Adults: A Case Report
成人前列腺平滑肌肉瘤
摘要
成人前列腺平滑肌肉瘤為罕見腫瘤，約佔所有前列腺惡性腫瘤的0.1%。直到目前，僅有少於100例的報告。我們報告一位78歲男性罹患罕見高惡性度平滑肌肉瘤。該病人以良性前列腺增生為其初期臨床表現症狀。再接受經尿道前列腺切除術後二個月左右，因多發性肺臟及肝臟遠端轉移而死亡。組織病理檢查發現惡性腫瘤細胞對 vimentin, actin與desmin呈陽性免疫染色反應。Ki-67的增殖指數為65%。以流動細胞儀檢查發現惡性腫瘤細胞屬異套核型。我們認為當成年男性罹患良性前列腺增生必須將前列腺平滑肌肉瘤列入重要鑑別診斷。

Leiomyosarcoma (LMS) of the prostate in adults is a rare neoplasm that accounts for less than 0.1% of prostate malignancies. To date, less than 100 cases have been reported. We reported a rare case of high grade LMS in a 78-year-old man who presented initial clinical picture as benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH). He developed multiple, distant metastases of the lungs and liver and expired, post-TURP treatment 2 months later. Histopathological examinations of maligerative labeling index was 65%. The flow cytometry examination of malignant tumor cells revealed an aneuploid status. LMS of the prostate in adults should be considered in an important differential diagnosis for BPH patients.
