Bezoars are conglomerates of foreign bodies in the gastrointestinal tract of humans and ruminants. Most cases of trichobezoars are encountered in the stomach, only rarely reaching into the small intestine. Trichobezoar is a rare cause of ileal obstruction. They are more common in children with psychiatric disorders such as pica. We reported a 5-year-old girl who had abdominal tenderness for days. After a series of examination, she underwent laparotomy with enterotomy and a 20×5×3 cm contiguous trichobezoar in the ileum was removed. The literature is reviewed.
