凝固速度對Zr-Al-Ni-Cu-Sc合金的凝固組織與機械性質之研究

Investigation of Solidification Rate Variables on the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Zr-Al-Ni-Cu-Sc Alloy

摘要


將(Zr50Cu35Ni6Al9)(下標 100-x)Sc(下標 x)(X=0, 0.02, 0.05, 0.1, 0.5, 1at.%)合金,以單輥熔射旋淬法制製備厚約40μmm合金薄帶及利用銅模鑄造製作直徑4mm及6mm的圓柱棒材。由XRD繞射圖樣顯示,合金薄帶皆具有一寬廣繞射峰,顯示其為非晶質結構:直經4mm的棒材在x=01,0.5,1at.%時,其XRD繞射圖樣亦爲一寬廣繞射峰,而X=0,0.02,0.05at.%時,XRD繞射圖樣為一寬廣繞射峰上疊加特性繞射峰,意味著非晶質基地上有微小結晶結構的存在,直徑6mm的棒材僅在X=0.5at.%時,XRD繞射呈現寬廣繞射峰。急冷的合金薄帶其△Tx值在123K至130K之間,表示其具有寬廣的過冷液態區且T(下標 rg)值在X=0.5at.%時達到0.562,代表金具有很好的玻璃形成能力。銅模鑄造的銅模鑄造的4mm棒材在X=0.5時△Tx=88k、T(下標 rg)=0.630且6mm棒材在X=0.5時△Tx=109K、T(下標 rg)=0.601。實驗結果顯示此Zr基合金在急速冷卻下易形成非晶質結構,而較慢的冷速下僅X=0.5at.%具有最佳的金屬玻璃的形成能力。由維氏硬度試驗測出合金薄帶與直徑4mm在X=0.1,0.5,1at.%金屬玻璃棒材Hv值隨Sc添加量而增加,分別從513增至547、549提升至578。6mm的合金棒材在X=0.5時Hv=556,指出此合金系統擁有優異的機械性質。

The XRD pattern for (Zr50Cu35Ni6Al9)(subscript 100-x)Sc(subscript x)(X=0, 0.02, 0.05, 0.1, 0.5, 1at.%) alloy ribbons and the rods (X=0.1, 0.5, 1at.%) with a diameter of 4 mm consist of only broad diffraction maxima without any sharp Bragg peak. indicating that they an: amorphous in structure. There are no contrast of crystalline phases in the samples, confirming that the rods (X=0.1. 0.5, 1at.%) with a diameter of 4mm in the SEM-BSE image. Rods (X=0, 0.02, 0.05at.%) are amorphous matrix and small crystalline phase. Only the rod at X=0, 5at.% is lull amorphous. Alloy ribbons △Tx from 123 K to 130 K, appear a large supercooled liquid region, and the value of T(superscript rg) at X=0.5at.% reaches to 0.562 represent great glass forming ability at the cooling rate. The rod (X=0.5at.%) with a diameter of 4mm and its △Tx and T(superscript rg) is 88K and 0.63 respectively: the rod with X=0.5at.% are completely amorphous with a diameter of 6mm and its △Tx and T(superscript rg) is 109 K and 0.601 respectively. Experiment results show fabricating Zr-base alloy forms amorphous structure easily by the single roller melt-spinning, and (Zr50Cu35Ni6Al9)(subscript 100-x)Sc(subscript x) with X=0.5at.% is the nest glass forming ability. Vickers hardness measurements appear the dependence of Vickers hardness (Hv) on the Scandium additions for the alloy ribbons (from 513 to 547) and the rods (X=0.1, 0.5, 1at.% ) with a diameter of 4 mm (from 549 to 578), and Hv of alloy rod at X=0.5 at.% with a diameter of 6 mm is 556.
