This study utilized Cu alloyed ductile cast iron (Cu-DI) as the experimental material, and then the two methods of austempering and quench-tempering were adopted to produce austempered ductile iron (Cu-ADI) and temper-martensite ductile iron (Cu-TM), separately. The wear and corrosion tests were carried out in 3.5wt% NaCl solution for the purpose of comparing the wear/corrosion resistance of Cu-ADI, Cu-TM and Cu-DI. The experimental results showed that Cu-ADI could improve corrosion and corrosive wear resistance due to existing some retained austenite in its microstructure. Thus, comparing the three diffenertly treated of Cu alloyed ductile cast irons, the order of wear/corrosion resistance was Cu-ADI>Cu-TM>Cu-DI.
