Brain Abscess at the Site of Hemorrhage: Report of a Case
腦膿瘍發生於先前腦出血處：病例報告
摘要
腦膿瘍發生於先前腦出血處的病例很罕見。本文報告一個左額葉出血導致右側偏癱的七十八歲男性患者，同時亦有泌尿道感染。三星期以後右側偏癱惡化並發生運動性失語症。藉由顯影後的腦部核磁共振和電腦斷層檢查確定腦膿瘍發生於先前腦出血處。患者接受外科引流和抗生素治療以後痊癒。雖然很罕見，但是腦膿瘍確有可能發生在先前腦出血處。

Brain abscesses developing at the site of intracerebral hemorrhage are very rare. We report a 78-year-old man who had a left frontal lobe hemorrhage resulting in right hemiparesis. At that time, he also had a urinary tract infection. Three weeks later, his right hemiparesis worsened and motor aphasia developed. Brain MRI and contrast-enhanced CT revealed a brain abscess in the same region as the earlier hemorrhage. The patient recovered after drainage of the abscess and treatment with antibiotics. Although very rare, an abscess can develop at the site of an earlier intracerebral hemorrhage.
