Huge Mesenteric Cyst of Sigmoid Colon: Report of a Case

摘要

腸繫膜囊腫是相對罕見的腹腔內腫瘤，因其症狀多變，且無特殊專一性檢查，導致臨床上正確術前診斷的困難。我們報告一個罹患巨大乙狀結腸腸繫膜囊腫的女性病患，臨床表徵為急性腹痛及發燒，術前診斷為感染性卵巢囊腫。這病患在接受剖腹探查手術時發現有巨大乙狀結腸腸繫膜囊腫而接受囊腫摘除手術。術後病患恢復良好且於手術後第5天出院。

Mesenteric cysts are relatively rare abdominal tumors. Because of lack of definitive diagnostic tests and various presentations, accurate preoperative diagnosis is difficult. We present a case of huge mesenteric cyst with an initial diagnosis of acute abdomen with a huge ovarian cyst. Laparotomy was performed immediately. The patient had an uneventful postoperative course, and was discharged on the 5th postoperative day. It is suggested always to keep the possibility of mesenteric cyst in mind when confronting a cystic lesion in the lower abdomen in female patients, and to investigate by ultrasonography. Since the potential complications of mesenteric cyst are evident, surgical intervention should be performed as soon as possible after diagnosis.
