The Treatment of Fractures of the Shaft of the Forearm in Adult (a Comparative Evaluation between the Treatment in Compression Devices and Non-Compression Devices)
成人前臂骨幹骨折之治療（對於壓迫性內固定器及非壓迫性內固定器之使用結果的比較評估）
摘要
成人前臂骨幹骨折為常見之骨折。此骨折若無適當的治療，將會產生嚴重的功能喪失。以非手術復位治療前臂骨折，由資旋前肌及旋後肌之作用，欲維持其復位實屬困難；故以手術整復斷骨並以內固定器固定斷已廣為醫師們所接受。 三軍總醫院從1972至1982年間，總共收集186病患因前臂骨幹骨折而接受手術復位並以不同種類的內固定器固定斷骨之治療。分析結果，不論在減少延遲癒合及不癒合的發生率，減少使用輔助性石膏外固定或是功能的恢復，皆以手術復位並以壓迫性鋼板固定骨折所得的結果優於使用其他種類之內固定器者。

Although there is considerable difference of opinion about the treatment of fractures of the forearm in adult, open reduction and rigid internal fixation provide more satisfactory results for these injuries as reported in many series. From Jan. 192 to Aug. 1982, there were 186 patients with forearm fracture (total 190 operations including four-re-operations) undergoing open reduction and internal fixation with different devices at the Tri-service General Hospital. The results showed that the non-union rate in the AO compression plate group, the intramedullary pin group and the non-compression plate group was 2.22%, 18.75% and 3.42% respectively. In terms of the functional results, the compression device group was also better than the non-compression device group.
