並列摘要

Neoplasm originating in the sciatic nerve will present the symptoms of sciat-ica. This is a case of malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor involved the sci-atic nerve in the greater sciatic foramen. Originally the radiating leg pain and weakness of dorsiflexion and plantar flexion of big tow was assumed to be pro-duced by a herniated nucleus pulposus. So the discovery of the tumor was thus delayed for several months until the tumor was n large size. After the diagnosis of tumor, we did tumor excision followed by chemotherapy. Unfortunately the tumor recurred 9 months later. We tried to do hemiplelvectomy this time, but the tumor already spread out. Patient expired 1 month after tumor recurrence.
