Children commonly present with forearm fractures which are most often treated with closed reduction. The authors examined 12 children’s complete displaced forearm fractures. After closed reduction failed, all fractures were treated with chisel pin reduction and cast immobilization. All forearm fractures healed. Results were satisfactory. There were, however, 5 cases of forearm fractures with mild loss of reduction, but no further treatment was required. Closed reduction of pediatric forearm fractures remains the standard treatment, but the technique of chisel pin reduction should be considered a reliable alternative for unstable.
