Pseudoaneurysm of the profunda femoris artery is a rare complication of orthopaedic operative procedure due to trauma mechanism, anatomical variation and iatrogenic cause. We report a case of pseudoaneurysm of profunda femoris artery following internal fixation of a femoral trochanteric fracture by a dynamic hip screw. Transarterial coils embolization was done to relieve thigh swelling instead of operative treatment. There is no recurrence of the pseudoaneurysm in a follow-up of one year.
