嬰兒開始添加果(菜)汁與米(麥)糊時間及其影響因素調查

The Timing of the Introduction of Cereal and Juice to Infants and an Analysis of Associated Factors

摘要


目的:根據我國衛生署建議4~6個月開始餵食副食品,調查一般國人遵照建議時間為嬰兒開始添加固體食品的情況,並調查主要照顧者關於嬰兒餵食知識、餵食副食品遭遇的問題及所尋求的資源。研究方法:本研究對象為226名7個月以上至1歲的嬰兒,資料收集是經由專業訓練的訪員訪談主要照顧者。結果:調查發現有78.8%的嬰兒於4~6個月期間開始吃米(麥)糊,有21.5%的嬰兒遲到7個月以後才開始吃米(麥)糊,只有4名嬰兒(1.8%)嬰兒提早於4個月之前開始吃米(麥)糊;有62.4%的嬰兒正確的於4~6個月期間開始喝果(菜)汁,也有34.5%的嬰兒遲到7個月以後才開始喝果(菜)汁,只有3.1%嬰兒提早於3個月之前開始喝果(菜)汁。顯著影響嬰兒開始添加米(麥)糊或開始添加果(菜)汁的時間的因素包括,嬰兒排行、父母親教育程度及母親是否由書籍獲得副食品添加的資訊。嬰兒添加副食品的方式及嬰兒是否添加補充劑,只顯著影響嬰兒開始添加米(麥)糊的時間。嬰兒主要照顧者獲得副食品添加資訊中,以親友中獲得資訊的人數最多。

This study examined the timing of introducing complementary foods to infants on the basis of recommendations from the Department of Health, caregivers' knowledge about feeding infants, problems caregivers usually encounter when feeding infants, and information about complementary food provision available to caregivers. Data were collected on 226 infants at the age of 7~12 months in Taiwan by interviewing caregivers. The interview was carried out by professionally trained interviewers. In total, 78.8% of infants had been given cereal at an age of 4~6 months, 21.5% had been fed cereal from the age of 7 months, and only 1.8% had been fed cereal before 4 months of age. In addition, the study revealed that 62.4% of infants had been given juice at the age of 4~6 months, 34.5% had been given juice from the age of 7 months, and only 3.1 % had been fed juice before 4 months of age. The significant factors that affected the timing of the introduction of cereal and juice included the infant's birth order, the parents' education, and information on feeding complementary food which caregivers had obtained. The method of introduction and the giving of supplements significantly affected the timing of cereal introduction. Information that caregivers received about complementary feeding chiefly came from their relatives and friends.
