利用UV絕緣膠與銅基板提昇上發光有機發光二極體特性之研究

Performance Improved of Top Emission Organic Light Emitting Diode by Spin Coating UV Glue on Cu Substrate

摘要


本研究爲改善上發光型有機發光二極體(TEOLED)元件操作於高電壓電流密度之下所產生之焦耳熱,能藉由銅散熱基板傳導出去,進而提升元件壽命。元件製程利用旋轉塗佈UV膠於銅基板上除可達到基板表面平坦化,更利用其絕緣的特性作爲元件絕緣層避免銅基板與元件陽極短路。元件特性於20 V可得到最佳亮度10020 cd/平方公尺,於11 V可得最大發光效率9.6 cd/A,且壽命方面較製作於玻璃基板之元件提升10倍時間。

Temperature increase during OLED operation can significantly degrade the devices lifetime. In order to improve life time, we fabricated TEOLEDs on Copper (Cu) substrates that can reduce the influence of joule heat while the devices are operating. In this experiment, UV glue was spin coated onto Cu substrate to effectively smooth the surface as an isolation layer. The optimum luminance and efficiency were 10020 cd/m2 at 20 V and 9.6 cd/A at 11 V, respectively. The lifetimes were greatly improved about 10 times than the devices with glass substrates.
