A LOW-COMPLEXITY CHANNEL ESTIMATION METHOD FOR MASSIVE MIMO SYSTEMS

摘要

The massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) is a promising candidate for the 5G wireless communication system. In a wireless communication system, channel estimation is a crucial part. Hence, in the presence of pilot contamination (PC), we proposed a low complexity element-wise minimum mean squared error (EW-MMSE) method for channel estimation in the massive MIMO systems. Results verify that our proposed method outperforms the traditional minimum mean squared error (MMSE) estimator in terms of complexity, and in addition, effectively improves the system performance.
