莊子的逍遙之道-道家的休閒智慧

Chuang Tzu's Hsiao-Yao Philosophy: The Taoist Wisdom of Leisure

摘要


本文首先點出西方古典休閒觀與莊子之逍遙概念的相容性;進而對逍遙概念之可能淵源,進行其形上淵源的探索以及語源上的追溯;接著將重心放在探討莊子的終極理想-逍遙遊、剖析莊子哲學體系中的「逍遙」義涵、以及闡述莊子的逍遙之道:鑒於人生的困頓多半係源於「有」-有待、有繫縛、有執著,因此莊子提出「無待」作爲化解之道。由於生活中的紛擾多半係因有所執著、放不下所致-也就是因爲不能「忘」或無法「忘」,莊子認爲「忘」可以化解這些紛擾。體會到生命的災難多半係隨著「有用」而來-莊子建議藉「無用」之道來化解。

This article first reveals the comparability of the classical Western idea of leisure and Chuang Tzu's idea of hsiao-yao. Next, both the metaphysical origin and the etymological origin of hsiao-yao are traced. Then, Chuang Tzu's ideal of hsiao-yao and some relevant ideas are discussed. This article elaborates much on Chuang Tzu's philosophy of how to attain hsiao-yao, an ideal of reaching the ultimate state of being, the absolute freedom and true happiness.
