章太炎與魯迅的師徒交誼重探－兼論二氏的學思關係

摘要

章太炎(1869-1936)與魯迅(1881-1936)在中國現代學術發展史上影響深遠，學界對他們的研究可謂已是汗牛充棟。關於二氏的師徒交誼與學說思想的傳承關係，一直以來也備受重視；但不少論述僅流於表面，未能釐清他們的真實交誼與學思關係。本文首重於辯正二氏的交誼關係，並兼及他們的個性特質、文化立場與救國心態等學思差異問題。全文將由以下五個要點展開探討：第一是簡述過去相關研究主題趨向。第二是釐清二氏的結緣經過和他們的一生交往情況。第三是簡論早年魯迅的學術與章氏的關係和他後來如何評價師說。第四是闡述魯迅與章氏在學術觀點上、特別是國學與白話文方面的歧見和他不敢（或不欲）面見乃師的原因。第五是綜合前途各點而展現二氏的個性與真實交情。藉著上述數方面的探討，冀能補正目前論述的某些闕失，客觀呈現二氏的交誼與學思關係，並使二氏的思想個性更全面地呈現出來；或者，重探之結果，對進深反思中國現代學術思想譜系的建構也會是有所俾益的。

Zhang Tai Yan (1869-1936) and Lu Xun (1881-1936) are two influential figures in China's modern history of ideas. Their relationship as teacher and pupil has been the object of considerable research. This paper aims to explore how they treated each other personally and intellectually by way of an account of their temperaments, their views on culture, patriotism, and academic issues, particularly the issues concerning classical study and vernacular literature. It is hoped that such an account can provide a better understanding of their ideas which have shaped the intellectual development of modern China.
