Changhua County is located in central, coastal part of western Taiwan, occupying about 1074km^2 . Formerly little attempts have been made to characterize the biodiversity of the slime molds of this region, which is probably due to the relatively small land area with most of this highly developed county. Our preliminary sampling from this area reveals 26 taxa and an unnamed taxon of Diderma. Among them, Acrasis rosea and Didymium bahicnse var. bahiense are reported as new to Taiwan.
