HCV Core Antigen Assay can be Used for Diagnosis of HCV Infection

摘要


本研究主要探討HCV cAg是否可作為HCV感染的診斷指標,檢測原理為化學冷光微粒免疫分析。實驗結果顯示HCV cAg試劑不同天精密度CV值為6.5%,可分析範圍5.82-19099.23 fmol/L;定量結果與HCV RNA濃度相關係數(r)達0.94,兩者間呈現高度正相關;定性結果之陽性預測值為98.2%,陰性預測值為98.8%。我們認為HCV cAg試劑性能優異而且為直接檢測病原,非常適合作為HCV感染的診斷指標。當進行大規模的社區篩檢時,可利用HCV cAg檢驗特性制定篩檢策略,將更快速而有效率地找出C型肝炎病毒帶原者。

The purpose of the study is to evaluate whether HCV cAg assay can be used as a marker of HCV infection. The principle of detection is chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay. The between-day precision of this assay is 6.5% , the analytical measurement range is from 5.82 to 19099.23 fmol/L, the correlation coefficient (r) was determined as 0.94 between HCV cAg and HCV RNA level. The positive predictive value and negative predictive value were 98.2 and 98.8%, respectively. HCV cAg reagent has excellent performance as a direct test for HCV, which is very suitable as a diagnostic marker of HCV infection. In large-scale community screening, we should use the feature of HCV cAg assay to develop a strategy which will identify HCV carriers more quickly and efficiently.
