老人長期照護機構中之職能治療現況調查－以高雄市為樣本

摘要

本研究主要為調查長期照護機構的職能治療服務現況，收集高雄市立案與未立案長期照護機構之職能治療資料共37筆，研究者根據自行設計之間唔談並觀察樣本，獲得（一）結構：人員、設施與醫療監督，與（二）過程：一般性治療項目及特殊性治療項目等現況資料。
結果顯示機構中職能服務的結構與過程都偏差，僱有合格專業人員從事服務的機構僅有8.10%，機構內的生理類職能治療工具數量平均4.42件，專業的角色和服務都不明顯。長期照護機構的職能治療服務品質普遍低落，根據研究結果建議政府應負起引導、規劃、監管與評鑑的責任，並慎重考慮將來長期照護財源支持體系的建立，以照顧真正需要的族群之醫療需求。同時，職能治療專業亦需積極投入，貢獻專才。

The main purpose of this study is to investigate the current service of occupational therapy in the long-term care facilities. 37 therapeutic units of registered and unregistered long-term care facilities were investigated in this survey. A questionnaire was developed and direct the interview and observation process to investigate the 1 )structure, including personnel, equipment and monitoring regulation; and 2)process: general and specific therapeutic regulations.
The results showed that the quality of occupational therapy in long-term care facilities was low. Only 8.10% of the facilities hired qualified occupational therapists to provide service. The average number of therapeutic modalities for physical dysfunction in each facility was 4.42. The quality of occupational therapy of long-term care system was found to be poor from this current study. It is suggested that our government should take a great responsibility in instructing, planning, monitoring and evaluating the development of occupational therapy in the long-term care system. It should also take a serious consideration in building the financial support system of long-term care in the future. The occupational therapy profession should also devote into the long-term care system. Only in this case can the good health care for the needy become possible.
