Colonoscopic postpolypectomy hemorrhage is occasionally encountered in clinical practice. Delayed postpolypectomy bleeding usually occurs within 7 days after the procedure, but rarely occurs more than 3 weeks. We report a case with a bleeding rectal polyp that underwent colonoscopic polypectomy with occurrence of delayed hemorrhage on the 24th day after polypectomy. Bleeding from the polypectomy site was successfully treated with endoscopic submucosal epinephrine injection. Reviewing the English literatures, this is the second longest time interval between polypectomy and onset of delayed hemorrhage.
