RC wall with openings is the building behavior controlling element during earthquake. The earthquake resistance Code requires that RC wall need to be included in the earthquake resistance calculation of structure. Therefore, exploration of the earthquake resistance behavior of RC wall with openings and establishment of its mechanical behavior, failure model and analytical model are necessary in order to make effective design, reinforcement and repair of RC building possible. The purpose of this research is to establish the load-deflection curve including the entire curve, ultimate strength, displacement and stiffness of the RC wall with openings. In this research a load-deflection prediction method of RC wall with openings was proposed and test data of six RC walls with openings from NCREE were used to generate the prediction for comparison. It is indicated from the comparison results that the prediction made by the proposed prediction method is quite reasonable.
