A long term concrete shrinkage and creep experimental database established in Taiwan since 1970 is introduced in this paper. And the experimental data are compared to various prediction models to examine their accuracy and applicability. It has been noticed that the concrete creep and shrinkage behavior is apparently higher because of the concrete characteristics of lower modulus of elasticity and the higher paste volume content in Taiwan. Therefore, a modified factor for the influence of modulus of elasticity on concrete creep and shrinkage behavior is proposed by means of statistics based on this database. And the new CCL prediction model based on Bazants Model B3 is adjusted also with other main parameters for a reasonable simulation and prediction of concrete creep and shrinkage in Taiwan.
