以四點彎曲試驗量測不同溫度作用下砂岩複合型斷裂韌度之研究

A STUDY OF THE MEASUREMENT OF MIXED MODE FRACTURE TOUGHNESS OF SANDSTONES UNDER VARIOUS THERMAL CONDITIONS BY FOUR-POINT BENDING EXPERIMENTS

本研究以砂岩為試驗材料,先將岩樣裁切製成含單裂縫矩型試體,接著將規劃之試體分別加熱至300°C與600°C後冷卻至室溫,再進行四點彎曲試驗以量取試體斷裂時之荷重與開口位移。本研究改變試體在不同受力點之跨距組合,設計五種不同之跨距產生純I型、三種I + II型、與純II型之斷裂型態,進行四點彎曲試驗量測I+II型斷裂韌度。在四點彎曲試驗中,紀錄斷裂時的荷重及開口位移,同時觀察斷裂時之樣態,並計算各種型態之斷裂韌度。最後討論不同溫度(25°C、300°C與600°C)作用下砂岩複合型斷裂韌度的試驗結果。結果顯示:溫度作用會造成試體之斷裂韌度降低。本研究利用簡單的四點彎曲試驗,建立一套有效的方法以量測砂岩的I + II複合型斷裂韌度。

This study proposes a single edge-cracked bending specimen under four-point bending configuration to measure the mixed-mode fracture toughness of rocks. The testing materials are sandstones. This study arranges the experimental setups of four-point bending tests for measurements of modes I + II fracture toughness. There are five different loading conditions for the mode I + II fracture toughness. These loading conditions are one mode I, three different modes I + II and one mode II. This study considers three thermal conditions: 25°C, 300°C, and 600°C. Mixed Modes fracture toughness for I + II are calculated. One observes that the mode I + II fracture toughnesses in 25°C condition are much higher than those in 300°C and 600°C conditions. Therefore, this study effectively utilizes a simple four-point-bending test to measure the mixed-mode fracture toughness of sandstones.
