試論錄像藝術的發展類型與風格

A Study on the Developing Genres and Creative Styles of Video Art

摘要


錄像藝術的發展是生活與科技的一體兩面,早期創作從跨越電視媒材到實驗性質的嘗試,不斷開發出與身體、觀念、紀錄、電影、電腦、互動、裝置等相互結合的概念,讓它從多元藝術流派中冒出新芽而茁壯;並在科技不斷創新、人文觀念不斷革新的環境中,使它在藝術史的座標中逐漸佔據重要地位。因此,本文從藝術史發展歷程中擷取關鍵影響的作品,並以風格分析之方式,進行作品類型與表現形式的論述,研究結果從錄像藝術的歷史與背景作爲經緯軸線,依據藝術家創作實踐、作品內容區分不同類型,包括:電視傳媒的擴充與影響、實況紀錄與紀實錄像、錄像中的身體行爲、觀文本精神與觀念錄像、反鐀錄像與技術實驗、電影與錄像的影像轉化、結合多媒體的視覺效果、物件投影與錄像裝置等風格議題逐項分析,藉此申論錄像藝術與時俱變的面貌以及所展現的風格差異。

The development of video art is in conjunction with life and technology. The creative process in the early stage crosses from television media to experimental try-outs. It is a continuous process of exploitations that combines concepts such as the body, ideology, documentation, television, computer, interaction, and installation. The development allows for new concepts to grow and thrive from diverse art genres. Through the continuous innovation of technology and the revolution of humanity and cultural concepts, video art gradually begins to take a more important stance in art history. Therefore, this essay will use different research and study methods such as the formalistic, iconology, art history, structural analysis, and the usage of the background and history of video art as the central axis. Categorization of different styles is done through artists' creative practices and work contents, and this will include the involvement or the fight against television media power, documentation of the audio-visual and improvised video, the body in video, conceptual video and the principle of the text, video feedbacks and experimentation of techniques, the transformation of cinema and video images, combination of multi-media image effects, object projection, and video installations are alt subjects that will be analyzed specifically. This essay intends to use these analyses to express the every-changing formation of video art and the different expressive styles it presents.
