摘要

中國人的哲學可以說就是「生生」的哲學，而論其源頭，則可上推至老子的「生」這個多義性概念上。本文認爲老子的「生」概念必須從「有」、「無」、「歸」三個概念來全面掌握，並論述這一個隱微卻極爲重要的概念包含了有宇宙生成論、本體論，以及修養工夫等豐富的哲學概念，掌握了這個概念，《道德經》中的其它各個概念才能在這一個多義性的概念前提下得到一個貫串與一致性。

The Chinese philosophy is also the philosophy of ”generative generation”, and the origin of the concept can be traced back to the Dao De Jing, where the term 'generation' is obscure but significant. This essay would like to expound this concept by appealing to three concepts: ”being”, ”non- being”, ”return to Dao”. After thinking over these concepts, I can understand that the concept of ”generation” is not only applied to cosmology, but also to ontology and the doctrine of self cultivation. By revealing this obscure but crucial concept, we can unify all the equivocal meaning of different concepts with reference to it.
