Globalization and the Evolving Modes of Christian Theology of Dialogue

Christianity was famous for its rigid, absolute claim, which caused the Crusades in the Middle Ages. However the dialectical theology of excluding the value of non-Christian religions was changed to dialogical theology by Vatican 11(1962-1965). Since then, theologians have developed different theories and modes to promote dialogue between Christians and non-Christians. The modes are the fulfillment model, the mutuality model and the acceptance model. However, the theories do not necessarily correspond to reality. So, the question remains how dialogical theology can achieve consensus among different world religions, specially with the Moslems. Whether it is possible to have these two big religions engaged in real dialogue is a challenge for all who are concerned with the subject.
