應用倫理學的發展與新時代的哲學思維

The Development of Applied Ethics and the Philosophical Thinking in the New Times

摘要

本文旨在探討當代應用倫理學的發展對哲學工作者的啟示。因此，首先略述應用倫理學的興起、發展與現況，其次探討這種新興學科對比於傳統哲學思維的差異，最後由此凸顯一種新的哲學態度或思維模式，並論及哲學工作者與其他專業間的合作模式。當代應用倫理學面對的各種挑戰：（一）因當代人的新意識而重新浮現的舊問題；（二）因新的情境而出現的新問題；（三）由新的基本概念而出現的新問題；（四）由新的關懷範圍而出現的新問題：（五）由新的倫理思維模式而出現的新問題。
新時代的哲學思維之建議：（一）哲學應該由內銷型的學術轉向外銷型的學術；（二）哲學應該向其他專業學習，並促成專業之間的尊重與合作：（三）理想與現實的調合；（四）多元價值社會中的協調模式；（五）在全球化下的文化差異與本土關懷。

This paper suggests that the contemporary development of applied ethics could be a lesson for academic philosophers. Applied ethics has answered the following problems: (1) old problems emerged in a new vision; (2) new problems emerged in new surroundings; (3) new problems combined with the change of fundamental ideas; (4) new problems combined with the expanding circle of moral concern; (5) new problems combined with the change of thought modes. And academic philosophers are suggested: (1) to care more about the external world rather than the internal world; (2) to learn more from other disciplines; (3) to compromise between the ideal and the practical; (4) to negotiate between different systems of value; (5) to hold local concern without neglecting the globalization.
